One of the Kings has been damaged and repaired (see the pictures) Synek designed this in the Architectural style of Brutalism which was prominent from the 1940s tand began to decline in the 1970s. It emerged in The United Kingdom.Its craftsmanship is extraordinary.This set is housed in a charming wooden box with a burgundy velvet lined interior which houses the metal, bronze and nickel plated pieces. The embossed copper board is attached to the top of the box, The hinges and lock are brass. All are in excellent shape. The only damage is to the king.
