Rare Antique Jean Baptiste Germain (Born 1841- Died 1910) French Large 16” Allegory Of The Arts 3D Relief Bronze Medallion With Metal Stand. The plaque measures approx 15.8” by 12.5” and is heavy. This can be hung on the wall it has a hook on the back or you can display this with the stand. This artwork depicts a classical scene featuring a seated woman, likely an allegorical figure representing geometry or architecture, engaged in drawing on paper. Four cherubs are also present, assisting with the drawing by holding tools and imitating her artistic movements. In person, this piece is truly remarkable, and photographs fail to capture its full grandeur.
