More information about Blue Willow Plates Buffalo Pottery 1911 Chinoiserie Design Dessert Plates Lot 6

Blue Willow
Buffalo Pottery 1911
Lot of 6 small plates
Approx 6 1/4" in diameter - typically used for appetizers, bread and butter or dessert.
Semi Vitreous

Please see pictures for varying condition, several are more white and some have a slight brown hue to them. Does not affect use and mostly just seen on bottom side. Crazing noted.

This vintage pattern is inspired by an ancient Chinese fancy story and features distinctive elements like a willow tree, a Chinese pagoda or tea house, a bridge with figures, a zigzag fence, a boat, and two birds in flight

Fun little fact: The Blue Willow pattern was first introduced in America by Buffalo Pottery in 1907.
Buffalo Pottery was founded in the early 1900s by the Larkin Soap Company in Buffalo, brand-new York, initially to create budget-friendly china as complementary gifts for soap purchases.
