This Black version of Brandywine is an splendid combination of sweetness and acidity, which is characteristic of the darker colored tomatoes. Brandywine is a heat-tolerant, pinkish/red beefsteak type with thin-skinned, rich-flavored, 3/4-1 lb. fruits. This plants have an indeterminate (vining) growth habit with foliage resembling potato leaves and will produce tomatoes in 90-100 days from seeding to harvest. When the tomatoes are highly large, they can display cracking, and they may need staking since they are indeterminate.
