This is a Hug O War dress made from Liberty's high-quality Tana Lawn "pepper" fabric.
Liberty Tana Lawn is known for its silky luster, supple feel, and lovely drape.
"pepper" is a vintage pattern that debuted in 1974. It features a dark gray base with a very detailed dot pattern in orange, green, and other colors. It gives a vibrant impression up close, but appears as a muted="muted" rose pink from a distance. This deep color is a wonderful pattern that still feels contemporary today.
The dress is a pull-over style with an elastic waist that sits high under the bust. The design is meticulously detailed, with shirring at the shoulders and ribbons at the cuffs. Made in Japan.
The cotton lining complements the lightness and suppleness of the Tana Lawn, ensuring a cozy wear.
