Bulblets, also known as bulbils, are small structures that develop in the leaf axils (where the leaves attach to the stem as shown in last picture posted.) These can be harvested when they easily detach from the plant and may already have roots. Plant them one-half inch deep, in soft soil. They will likely sprout a leaf or two by fall. Leaves will disappear with cold weather but most bulbs will survive the winter just fine. Cover with mulch.
